  6.         This program is shareware and STRAT-TECH expects you to register 
  7.         the program if you use it.  Registration includes receiving the
  8.         latest version of the program and other benefits (See info file
  9.         in the library for added benefits.

  11.         You have 15 days to evaluate the program free.

  14.          DEFINITION OF SHAREWARE

  16.          Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software
  17.          before buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue
  18.          using it, you are expected to register. Individual programs
  19.          differ on details -- some request registration while others
  20.          require it, some specify a maximum trial period. With
  21.          registration, you get anything from the simple right to continue
  22.          using the software to an updated program.

  24.          Copyright laws apply to both Shareware and commercial software,
  25.          and the copyright holder retains all rights, with a few specific
  26.          exceptions as stated below. Shareware authors are accomplished
  27.          programmers, just like commercial authors, and the programs are
  28.          of comparable quality. (In both cases, there are good programs
  29.          and bad ones!) The main difference is in the method of
  30.          distribution. The author specifically grants the right to copy
  31.          and distribute the software, either to all and sundry or to a
  32.          specific group. For example, some authors require written
  33.          permission before a commercial disk vendor may copy their
  34.          Shareware.

  36.          Shareware is a distribution method, not a type of software. You
  37.          should find software that suits your needs and pocketbook,
  38.          whether it's commercial or Shareware. The Shareware system makes
  39.          fitting your needs easier, because you can try before you buy.
  40.          And because the overhead is low, prices are low also. Shareware
  41.          has the ultimate money-back guarantee -- if you don't use the
  42.          product, you don't pay for it.

  44.          Anyone distributing the program for any kind of remuneration must
  45.          first contact Strat-Tech, Inc. for our authorization.
  46.          This authorization will be automatically granted to distributors
  47.          recognized by the (ASP) as adhering to its guidelines for
  48.          shareware distributors, and such distributors may begin offering
  49.          the program immediately (However, we must still be advised so
  50.          that the distributor can be kept up-to-date with the latest
  51.          version of the program.). We require that rack vendors who 
  52.          package and sell our program obtain approval prior to 
  53.          distribution.

  55.          You are encouraged to pass a copy of the program along to your
  56.          friends for evaluation.  Please encourage them to register their
  57.          copy if they find that they can use it.  All registered users
  58.          will receive a copy of the latest version of the program
  59.          system.

  88.                        STRAT-TECH, INC. LICENSE AGREEMENT
  89.         
  90.         1. What this is:  This document will govern your use of the 
  91.         STRAT-TECH, INC. (STRAT-TECH BELOW) products furnished with 
  92.         it. (THE DEER EXPERT).  It is valid AFTER you register
  93.         the program via mail-in order form or telephone for the
  94.         registered version of the program.
  95.         
  96.         You agree to the terms of the agreement after executing the 
  97.         program the first time.  Do not execute the program without 
  98.         first reading, understanding, and agreeing to the terms and 
  99.         conditions of this agreement.  
  100.         
  101.         2. GRANT OF LICENSE.  STRAT-TECH hereby grants you, and you 
  102.         accept, a limited license to use the enclosed diskette (s), 
  103.         user manual(s), and any related materials (collectively called 
  104.         the "Software" in this agreement).  The software may be used 
  105.         by any number of people and may be moved from one computer to 
  106.         another provided it is only used by one person at a time on 
  107.         one computer at a time.  The Software may not be used or 
  108.         installed at more than one location at a time.  You may not 
  109.         rent, lease, lend, sublicense or otherwise transfer the 
  110.         Software or your rights hereunder.  
  111.         
  112.         3. STRAT-TECH's rights.  By accepting this agreement, you do 
  113.         not become the owner of the Software, but you do have the 
  114.         right to use the Software in accordance with this agreement.  
  115.         The software is protected by copyright, trade secret, and 
  116.         trademark law.  You acknowledge that the Software is the sole 
  117.         and exclusive property of STRAT-TECH, developed or acquired by 
  118.         it at great expense.  You agree to use your best efforts and 
  119.         all reasonable steps to protect the Software from unauthorized 
  120.         use, reproduction, or distribution except as specifically 
  121.         authorized by this License Agreement.

  123.         All copies of the software must contain any STRAT-TECH 
  124.         copyright.  All other copies of the program and its 
  125.         documentation are in violation of this agreement.
  126.         
  127.         4. TERM.  This agreement is effective from the day you execute the 
  128.         registered program the first time.  The rights granted by 
  129.         STRAT-TECH to you by this agreement shall be effective until 
  130.         terminated.  If you breach any of the terms or conditions of this 
  131.         agreement, such rights shall automatically terminate without any 
  132.         notice from STRAT-TECH to you.  
  133.         
  134.         5. YOUR ORIGINAL DISKETTE/ARCHIVAL COPIES.  You are authorized 
  135.         to make copies  of the software for the purpose of having 
  136.         backup and working copies.  All physical copies of the 
  137.         Software must contain any STRAT-TECH copyright as on the 
  138.         original.

  140.         6. WARRANTY.   STRAT-TECH warrants to the original licensee 
  141.         that the disk(s) on which the software is recorded shall be 
  142.         free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal 
  143.         use and service for a period of 30 days from the date of 
  144.         delivery as evidenced by shipping records.  STRAT-TECH's 
  145.         entire liability and your exclusive remedy shall be 
  146.         replacement of any disk which does not meet STRAT-TECH's 
  147.         limited warranty and which is returned to STRAT-TECH.  If 
  148.         failure of the disk has resulted from accident, abuse, or 
  149.         misapplication of the product, STRAT-TECH shall have no 
  150.         responsibility to replace the disk.  If for any reason STRAT-
  151.         TECH should fail to replace any disk in accordance with this 
  152.         limited warrant, or if for any reason the limited remedy 
  153.         provided for by this paragraph should be determined to be 
  154.         invalid or inapplicable to any claim which is based upon or 
  155.         related to this agreement or the Software, the aggregate 
  156.         liability of STRAT-TECH and anyone else whose has been 
  157.         involved in the creation, production or distribution of the 
  158.         software nevertheless shall be limited to the amount paid by 
  159.         you for the Software.

  161.         The above are the only warranties of any kind, either 
  162.         expressed or implied, including but not limited to the implied 
  163.         warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular 
  164.         purpose that are made by STRAT-TECH or any other person 
  165.         involved in the creation, production or distribution of the 
  166.         software.  
  167.         
  168.         The software is intended to be used only as a tool and not as 
  169.         a professional adviser.  Neither STRAT-TECH nor anyone else 
  170.         involved in the creation, production or distribution of the 
  171.         software warrants, guarantees, or makes any representations 
  172.         regarding the use of the software in terms of correctness, 
  173.         accuracy, reliability, currency, or otherwise, and you rely on 
  174.         the software and results solely at your own risk.
  175.         
  176.         Neither STRAT-TECH nor anyone else who has been involved in 
  177.         the creation, production, or distribution of this software 
  178.         shall be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, or 
  179.         incidental damages  arising out of the use, the results of 
  180.         use, or inability to use the software even if STRAT-TECH or 
  181.         any such other party has been advised of the possibility of 
  182.         such damages.
